The change of use is contrary to the adopted Local Development Plan (LDP) Policy Hou 7 Inappropriate uses in Residential Areas. Developments including change of use, which would have a materially detrimental effect on the living conditions of nearby residents, will not be permitted. The change of use to a general industrial (Class five) use has a detrimental impact on neighbouring residential amenity.
