I have started this petition as since the council have started using the new energy saving lights our streets are in darkness
There are numerous safety reason regarding this:
* It increases criminal activity
* It is more dangerous for pedestrians and drivers
* It make people more vulnerable and scared to go out at night especially the elderly and people with young children
I think to save a few pounds the council have neglected the residents of Edinburgh.
Please return our old lights or install better lights to make sure the streets of Edinburgh are adequately lit up and safe at night
