To protect, preserve, and promote the history and heritage of Newhaven-on-Forth. Aims to develop a sense of belonging in the area of the old village of Newhaven and the new development of Western Harbour.
Interested in the preservation and promotion of Newhaven鈥檚 rich heritage and history, including the preservation of old Newhaven鈥檚 photographic and documented records, improving the ecological health of the waters of the Forth in the area, the enhancement of the old village, and the creation of a genealogical database of the people of Newhaven. Also looks to encourage and rebuild a self-supporting community and to foster a close relationship with the diaspora of Newhaven.
Outreach base at the old police box at Newhaven Harbour, meeting and greeting visitors to Newhaven and welcoming new residents to the area who stop to talk, the maintenance and development of virtual heritage trails, e.g. 鈥淣ewhaven: A Stravaig Through Time鈥�, and volunteering opportunities.
