Freedom of Information FOI

The FOI Scottish law gives everyone a right to see information collected and held by the Council, unless there is a good reason for not disclosing it. 

Requests for environmental information remain at 20 working days, with an option to extend for a further 20 working days if the request is complex.

If we can't give you the information

If we can't give you the information, we will write to you. If you disagree with this or are unhappy with how we have dealt with your request, you can ask us to review the decision.

We will respond to you within 20 working days, Although we may ask you for more details.

Cost

In some cases, there is a cost for providing the information, which we will tell you in advance. Please note we may not supply information if the cost makes it unreasonable to do so.
