Fence line extension for substation works at 165a Leith Walk

LW substation works

**Update: There has been an extension to the duration of these works to accommodate power connection works.

There will be further adjustments to the site lines from Wednesday 11 May 2022 and are expected to remain in place for a further 4 to 6 weeks. Access to properties will be maintained.

As part of the Trams to Newhaven Project, main infrastructure works are continuing in the surrounding area on the east side of Leith Walk.

We are now required to extend our site lines westbound near the entrance to 165a Leith Walk.  These changes are expected to take place from Wednesday 13 April 2022 and take approximately two to three weeks to complete.

These changes are to accommodate Scottish Power connections for the new substation.

Pedestrian diversions will be in place on footways with access to properties on the east side being maintained. However, footway widths may be reduced. In some situations, these might need to be reduced further, but access will be maintained for members of the public, residents and local shop owners.
