Pioneering a climate-conscious place to live

Low cost, low impact homes

Granton Waterfront will deliver around 3,500 net zero carbon homes. The health and wellbeing of the people who will live in them is a priority.Artist impression of development at Cooper Cromar western villages

We’ll build as many affordable homes as possible with a mix of housing models – 75% being car free. By doing so, we’ll unlock contaminated land and address inequalities and current needs.

By building in energy efficiency across the lifecycle of homes, we’ll create a low-carbon community which will reduce fuel bills and running costs. We estimate that households will save £12 million over 30 years by reducing fuel bills. This will also help Edinburgh to achieve local and national targets for carbon reduction.
